A week before the scheduled laser vision correction surgery I have an eyelash extension appointment. I have false lashes applied regularly. Will it be a contraindication to the correction procedure?

We advise you not to have the eyelashes procedure before the laser vision correction surgery. Apart from the issues related to possible allergy and irritation caused by the products used by the beautician, eyelashes may simply get destroyed during the procedure, e.g. due to the use of an eye speculum or eye hole drape.

You should also absolutely refrain from having your eyelashes filled for at least 30 days following the laser vision correction procedure.
