During the laser vision correction procedure the corneal surface is reshaped in such a way that the correction with glasses or contact lenses is no longer necessary. The WaveLight EX500 excimer laser, which we use in the ArtLife Centre, corrects far-sightedness within the range of +0.25 up to +6.0 dioptres, so your defect pre-qualifies you for the laser vision correction surgery. When it comes to far-sightedness, an appropriate thickness and shape of the cornea are of great importance. These parameters, as well as many others, are thoroughly checked during the preliminary qualifying examination. Laser vision correction, however, does not fully correct strabismus, although strabismus may disappear or regress after the procedure.
