and during the first week after the procedure, it is forbidden to rub the eyes, even through closed eyelids.

Lifting heavy weights (e.g. while working out in the gym) should be limited during the first month after the surgery, yet this period may be shortened to 14 days depending on the correction method applied.

Patients should avoid eye injuries (especially while the cornea is still healing), such as hitting an eye with a hand, principally following an SBK LASIK surgery as there is a risk of flap displacement in the first days after the procedure.
