Does laser vision correction make sense if my refractive error has changed by approximately 0,25-0,5 dioptre for the last year? Additionally, I suffer from eye dryness, but lacrimation (Schirmer’s test) is normal. I have always dreamt of having my vision defect corrected, but I do not know if it is possible in my case and if it makes any sense thinking about it.

In order to conduct a laser vision correction procedure it is necessary for the refractive error to become stable, with fluctuations not greater than 0,5 dioptre. If your lenses have changed by more than 0,5 dioptre within the last year, it may suggest that your refractive error has not stabilised. If the change has been less significant, it may also be a measurement error margin (what may affect the results is the time of day when you have your eyes tested, e.g. after a whole day spent working on a computer your eyes may be tired). Eye dryness is not a contraindication to the surgery.
