Does taking corticosteroids (I take 4mg of Meprelone daily due to systemic lupus) disqualify me from laser correction of short-sightedness? I have a refraction error of -2.5 dioptres.

Lupus, if stabilised, does not necessarily constitute a contraindication to a laser vision correction procedure. At the qualifying examination, you should provide the doctor with all the documentation regarding the treatment and the current stage of the disease.
