Harmful factors such as dust, smoke and lifting heavy weights should be avoided for at least 30 days after the laser vision correction procedure. This is the time required for the cornea to heal properly.
The ophthalmic surgeon who conducts the qualifying examination and performs the procedure can issue a sick leave certificate. The exact length of the period of incapacity for work should be established at the last stage of the qualification, once the correction method has already been selected.
