I am 20 years old. I have had a visual impairment since I remember but I hate wearing glasses. The ophthalmologist said that I have -3.5 in both eyes. Is it possible to fully correct this error, my doctor said it is impossible which made me very sad. Will I even get a driving license with such impairment? Is my error really too big for the correction?
Your visual defect, i.e. -3.5, is a medium myopic defect and is successfully corrected to zero. The range of correction for minuses is from 0.5 D to about -14 D. You can undergo a comprehensive eye examination for laser correction.
