I am considering having a laser vision correction surgery. It would be the most convenient for me to choose the one-day-procedure mode which you offer in your Centre. I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:
– Is it possible to return to work in front of a computer screen right after the surgery?
– Does undergoing the surgery require taking a sick leave from work? If so, can you provide me with a sick note for the convalescence period?

The return to work in front of a computer screen after laser vision correction is an individual matter which depends on the method chosen for the procedure. We recommend that you should take a few-day break from computer work after an SBK LASIK surgery and if it is not possible – that you at least frequently (every hour) apply eye drops and take breaks from looking at the screen every 45 minutes. In case of a LASEK or TransPRK procedure it is not allowed to work in front of a computer screen for a week after the procedure.
Provided that you undergo an SBK LASIK surgery, you will not need a sick leave, but after a LASEK or TransPRK procedure you will need a sick note for the following 5-10 days. After laser vision correction our doctor can give you a sick note for up to 30 days of the convalescence period.
