I am currently wearing contact lenses of -7 dioptres in the left eye and -7.5 dioptres in the right eye. Additionally I have astigmatism ( -2.25 dioptres cylinder, axis 150 in the left eye and -2.25 dioptres cylinder, axis 30 in the right eye). Do I qualify for laser vision correction with such severe short-sightedness combined with astigmatism?

By all means, you can be qualified for the procedure. Your refractive error still falls within the acceptable range possible to be corrected with laser, which is from -14.0 dioptres to +6.0 dioptres in case of short-/far-sightedness and up to 6 dioptres in case of astigmatism. First I invite you to a preliminary qualifying examination, during which a number of tests and measurements will be conducted and you will find out which correction method is the most suitable for you. Please remember not to wear contact lenses for 2-3 days before the examination and for at least 7 days before the surgery.
