I am interested in undergoing a laser vision correction and I have had a test to check whether I can do it. All the answers were positive, apart from one – my impairment has not been stable for one year. I am myopic in both eyes (-4.5). I am 23 years old. Would recommend having an operation in these circumstances?

You are old enough to have your eyes operated. When it comes to the stability of the error – a progression of the error exceeding 1-2D (over a period of one year) is a contraindication. In such case it is advisable to wait. It would be great if you could have your eyes examined in our Centre in order to rule out any contraindications. After the examination we will able to decide on further course of treatment.
