I get facial Botox twice a year and I am planning to undergo an eyelid surgery soon. Should I postpone the next Botox injections until after the procedure?

Botox fillers around the eyes are a temporary contraindication to performing a blepharoplasty surgery. Botox distorts natural facial features and affects muscle tone, which makes it impossible for an ophthalmic surgeon to precisely assess how much skin tissue will have to be removed. The blepharoplasty surgery can be performed after the effect of Botox injections wears off (approximately 5 months).
