I have been considering having a laser vision correction procedure for a few years, but I have not taken any steps in this direction yet. I am 39 years old and I hope it is not too late for me to be qualified for the surgery. I understand that my eligibility for the procedure can only be verified after the examination, but before I make an appointment, in case I am qualified, I would like to ask the following questions:
1. Are there any post-surgical restrictions I will have to comply with, such as heavy lifting, driving a car or doing physical exercise? If so, what restrictions are there and for how long?
2. What does the choice of correction method depend on and what are the differences between the methods?
3. Does it make sense to undergo a laser vision correction procedure at my age?

1) During the convalescence period, which lasts approximately one month, it is not allowed to use a sauna, swim in a pool or a natural water reservoir or do any activities requiring excessive physical effort. It is also strongly recommended to avoid dusty or smoky environments for the first month after the surgery.
2) The choice of correction method depends on the results of the tests conducted during the qualifying examination and patient’s medical history.
3) Your age is not a contraindication to the surgery. It definitely makes sense to have a laser vision correction procedure in order to enjoy perfect eyesight without glasses or contact lenses.
