The convalescence period after which you can safely return to work is determined by the correction method used during the procedure. Following an SBK LASIK surgery you can return to everyday activities as soon as the next day after the procedure (with certain limitations for a period of two weeks up to two months), whereas a TransPRK or LASEK surgery patients complain of significant pain for the first 2-4 days, which may present a challenge if you have to work during this time. However, you will be perfectly able to return to work a week after the procedure. In case of work requiring spending long hours in front of a computer screen it is strongly advised to take regular breaks every 45-60 minutes and have a possibility of switching to different tasks, i.e. not in front of a monitor. Included in the price of the surgery you will receive medications in the form of eye drops, which should be administered a few times a day for the first 30 days following the procedure.
