I would like to ask if mixed astigmatism can be corrected with a laser. My refractive error is +2.0 spherical dioptres and -1.75 cylindrical dioptres in the left eye, and +3.0 spherical dioptres and -1.75 cylindrical dioptres in the right eye.

Laser vision correction allows for the correction of short-sightedness up to-14.0 dioptres, far-sightedness up to +6.0 dioptres and astigmatism up to 6.0 dioptres, as well as a combination of the above errors.

The values of your refractive error fall within the range of dioptres possible to be corrected with a laser; however, to be qualified for the surgery, you also need to meet other essential criteria, such as an appropriate thickness and shape of the cornea. All necessary parameters are verified during the preliminary qualifying examination.
