The possibility of conducting a laser vision correction procedure depends on the results of the preliminary qualifying examination. During the examination a number of tests are run (including both subjective and objective refractive error assessment and corneal thickness and shape measurement). It is also checked whether the patient does not have any eye infection or inflammation for it is crucial not to have any infections or inflammatory conditions on the day of the surgery. If the recovery following the plastic surgery is complete before laser vision correction, it should not affect the results of the qualifying examination in any way. It is not recommended to get pregnant earlier than six months after the laser vision correction procedure for the sake of hormonal balance which is of the utmost importance. When the first six months after the procedure are over, you may attempt to conceive.
