Corneal scarring may be a contraindication to the laser vision correction surgery, but to verify the patient’s eligibility for the procedure, the scars need to be examined and a number of parameters such as their size and depth have to be measured. To be qualified for the procedure, it is necessary to undergo the full qualifying examination. It is recommended for the patients to take all the medical documentation regarding their previous keratitis and provide it at the examination.
