The certificate should contain information about the medications you take and their dosage. It should also confirm that your hormone levels are stable (for instance, in the case of thyroid hormones it can be seen in the test results), or how long you have been taking the medication (such information is enough in the case of contraceptives).
Hormonal contraception is not a contraindication to laser vision correction as long as it is taken continuously for at least 3 months. If you recently started a hormonal treatment, you would have to wait about 3 months for your hormonal balance to be restored.
Depending on how the healing process is going, the contraceptives should be taken for at least 3-6 months following the surgery. Sudden withdrawal of medications could result in so-called „hormonal havoc” and negatively affect your visual acuity and its stabilisation.
