The age itself is not a decisive factor in determining the result of the preliminary qualification. If you are over 40-45 years of age, you probably have so-called presbyopia. It means that after a laser vision correction procedure you will still need to use reading glasses. It is a natural, progressing physiological process, totally unrelated to laser vision correction.

The surgery corrects refractive errors such as short-sightedness, far-sightedness, and astigmatism. If you wear glasses only for reading and the need for glasses appeared with age, it is not possible to correct it with a laser.
