Laser Vision Correction is not a contraindication for spontaneous labour. The surgery does not expose the eye, it only remodels the cornea. However, patients suffering from myopia, regardless whether before or after the surgery, tend to have a very thin retina. During strenuous exercise or labour such thin and weak retina may be susceptible to detachment. That is why in extreme myopia lasering of the retina and c-section are recommended. Nonetheless, the final decision about the course of the labour will be taken by your doctor after appropriate ophthalmologic examination.
