Are you wondering how to eliminate your vision defect and free yourself from the inconvenience of wearing glasses? Do contact lenses interfere with your daily life?
Is your vision defect limiting your professional options?

The best solution is laser vision correction.

Who Is Laser Vision Correction For?

Laser vision correction treats refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, and combinations of these conditions. Our EX500 excimer laser, manufactured by the German company WaveLight, allows us to correct a wide range of vision problems:

• Myopia: -0.25 to -14.0 diopters
• Myopic astigmatism: -0.25 to -6.0 diopters
• Hyperopia: +0.25 to +6.0 diopters
• Hyperopic astigmatism: +0.25 to +6.0 diopters
• Mixed astigmatism: up to 6D

This procedure is suitable for anyone with a refractive error within the ranges above, who is over 18 years old, in generally good health, free from infections, and – most importantly – whose pre-operative exam shows no contraindications. It is also crucial that your vision has remained stable for at least one year.
Step One: Fill Out the Online Pre-Qualification Form
Start by completing and submitting the online pre-qualification questionnaire. After reviewing your answers, we can make an initial assessment of whether laser vision correction is right for you.

Step Two: Schedule a Qualification Examination
Next, schedule your laser eye surgery qualification exam. We will also provide available dates for the procedure itself. During this visit, any medical contraindications will be ruled out. Based on the test results, we will recommend the best correction method for your eyes.

How Long Is the Wait for Surgery?

At ArtLife Eye Center, the laser correction procedure can be performed on the same day as the qualification exam—this is called the One-Day Procedure. Alternatively, you may choose a later date. Qualification results are valid for three months. If more than three months pass, a follow-up evaluation is required to confirm eligibility.

What Does the Procedure Involve?

The excimer laser reshapes the surface of the cornea, enabling the eye to properly focus light onto the retina. The result is clear and accurate vision.

Is the Procedure Painful?

The procedure is completely painless and takes about 15 minutes. The laser itself operates for only a few seconds, depending on the level of correction needed. The entire process includes numbing the eyes with anesthetic drops, protecting the eyelids to prevent blinking and short rest (approx. 30 minutes) after the procedure.

Are There Follow-Up Visits?

Follow-up appointments vary depending on the method used. Most patients qualify for the SBK LASIK technique, which allows for a return to normal activities within hours. For this method, the first and most important check-up is the day after the surgery.

For the convenience of patients coming from outside the Tri-City area, we offer hotel accommodation through our partner hotels. If both eyes are treated, the cost of one night’s stay is deducted from the procedure fee.

For other methods (used based on medical indications), the first check-up is scheduled for one week post-surgery, during which the corneal epithelium heals. Additional follow-ups are scheduled individually, typically one at around two months after the procedure and then annually.

Laser vision correction is a fantastic way to regain sharp eyesight, think positively, and enjoy every moment to the fullest. Don’t waste time or limit your potential. One day can change your life!
